Superior Security helps companies proactively evaluate their operational loss prevention/security programs. We do not offer off-the-shelf solutions. Rather, we work with each client’s environment and day-to-day culture to help the company meet its unique security objectives.

The Superior Security approach is to first identify, analyze and document all parts of a company’s existing security program. We ask questions, discuss concerns and listen to ideas. Our goal is to design a prudent security program that enhances the current operations while providing cost-effective protection.

Some of the consulting services provided by Superior are:

• Comprehensive Security Assessment: The company’s existing physical security and security policies are assessed. This is done through inventory and analysis of the company’s initial security needs, including those affecting employees, property, information and company image and reputation. Areas evaluated include assessing procedures, lock and key control, lighting levels, guard force operations, emergency response procedures, and automated access control and alarm systems. Once we have analyzed the programs for cost efficiency or basic needs, we may recommend changes or suggest necessary designs.
• Security Program Development: Superior will develop programs addressing areas that include workplace violence, written security programs/procedures; bomb threat training, anti-terrorism (domestic and international); crisis management; personnel security and employee awareness; inventory shortages and loss containment; guard staffing and operations; and investigations.
• Security System Design: Superior can design systems that range from simple alarms for a workplace or an executive’s home, to a larger, highly sophisticated and integrated security system. These systems may include CCTV, alarm monitoring, perimeter protection, gate control, inventory control and more. In addition, Superior will help companies generate requests for proposals, review proposals, assist in selecting vendors and ensure systems are correctly installed and fully operational. Superior will help analyze security systems to ensure cost-effectiveness because the over-building of systems can result in unnecessary costs.
• Guard Operation Analysis: In addition to assessing a company’s guard operations for adequacy, efficiency and cost-effectiveness, Superior will help determine the type and amount of training best suited for each guard. Superior will develop appropriate procedures/manuals relating to physical security, as well as training all personnel involved.
• Violence and Threats in the Workplace: No matter how or where it occurs, violent behavior and the threat of violence are traumatic events that touch and change the lives of victims and their families, as well as witnesses and co-workers. The training offered by Superior is a framework and procedure for responding to workplace threats, threatening behavior or acts of violence by or against company employees. Superior believes in developing a preventative approach to violence and threats in the workplace; incorporating a zero-tolerance attitude; establishing a threat management team; and establishing legal parameters. In most cases, prompt reporting, investigating and corrective planning will allow early resolution and prevention of potentially escalating situations.
